After our thrilling episode in The Shire – well we had to do it didn’t we, set off for a mooch and to find a campsite.  Heading north now and back towards the coast and the Coromandel Peninsula.  The Karangahake Gorge is supposed to be pretty nice and it just so happens to have a DoC at a place called Dickey Flat.  The gorge is the main link between the Waikato Region and the Bay of Plenty.  Paul went out to have a look around whilst I read my book.  Foot suspension bridge and the river at the camp site.
