Oyster Moon

Oyster Moon was lifted out of the water, early on Wednesday morning, for
scrub off and anti-fouling. No blue paint available so we had a single
coat of black put on. A recent anti-fouling is required for Australia,
however if they see any mussels etc. we will be required to be lifted out
again. You then have to pay for disposable of waste scrub off water
(expensive). We only had one coat put on as intend to get lifted out and
stored on the hard whilst travelling around Australia.
Here’s a bit of a dirty hull.
 Goose barnacle and coral (the round patches) growth on the hull. We
managed to keep the water line fairly clean but these guys and gals escaped our
(well Paul’s) regular purges.
  There are several pits in the coral here, which are used to store boats
during the hurricane season.

 We were finally re-lauched at about 4pm. A slight delay as we had to wait
for holding tank valve to be replaced. Whilst here we have decided to have
davits made for the stern of the boat. We will still have to store the dingy of
the deck during passages, but it will make launching dingy a lot easier in the
meantime.
Back in the water, stern to with all the stern guard rails removed.
