During recent rough weather from cyclone Oswald waves crashed over causeway protecting the marina at Coffs Harbour.  Some of the rocks were dislodged and one of the pontoons looked like it had come partly adrift.

Dislodged rock and big dent in gangway going down to pontoons.

Yamba is cute holiday town at the mouth of the Clarence River, opposite Iluka.  You can get there by ferry but we took the road.  At the river mouth, long causeways have been built.  On the Yamba side there was a little park in the remains of what looked like a quarry.  We figured that the rocks from here had gone to make the two causeways.  Anyway, it was a fairly rough day so we had lots of waves crashing.  There was a little beach between the causeway and the quarry which had some spectacular waves coming in.  Look at the size of the boulders in this conglomerate.
