Passage to Bundaberg, Australia
Day 1 Date 10 October 2012
We left Port Moselle New Caledonia at 8.30 local time on Wednesday the 10 October 2012.
We are heading for our next island which is quite a big island !!!, called Australia. Total distance is about 800 miles.
Day 1
Log reading at noon is 19144
Distance to go 760 miles.
We passed through the Reef Pass at 10.00.
Very big breaking waves either side of the pass, this has attracted the surfers to come out and play. I only wonder if they have seen the sharks which we saw in the pass, which is less than 500 m from where they are surfing. You have heard of meals on wheels, well for the sharks this must be meals on surf boards, or a Scandinavian smogersborg (not sure if this is spelt correctly, but you get the picture)
