Noon to Noon report on the 26th March 12

We have managed to sail a full 24 hours, the wind is now a steady 15 knots from the South East, which is giving us a great reaching sail. We are now sailing at 5 - 6 knots and in the direction we need to go. So heading South West to try to pick up the wind has worked.

The sea state is moderate, giving us a bit of a bumpy sail, but otherwise OK.

Wildlife report

We have seen a few flying fish and a few sea birds, and a little squids on the deck, but nothing else

Shipping report

Another Tuna fishing boats picked up on the AIS but over 30 miles away. Saw the lights at night but it soon disappeared

Fishing report

No fish yet!!!

Fleet Positions

Karacool set off with us, and is at present about 69 miles behind us.

Marita 3 set off on Tuesday and is now 488 miles behind us.

Cordelia an American boat we met on Saturday night before we left, has just joined the radio net. They also left on Sunday. There position is 40 miles ahead of us.
