Two of the really interesting stops on this trip included a disused and abandoned sugar mill, and the National Park Rain Forest which is an UNESCO Heritage Site and contains the Emerald Pool / Waterfall.

The sugar mill has started to be taken over by the rain forest but you can still see some of the original equipment.

The Emerald Pool / Waterfall is reached after a 15 minute walk through the rain forest. The plant life was spectacular.

You can swim in the pool if you are brave enough, but as the water temperature was cold we decided not to, but as you can see the French group did swim!!
