No shrimps on the barbie this year! It was wet, very wet. In fact it was so wet, it was the wettest Christmas Day in Sydney for 70 years! After the worst summer in New Zealand for years last year, if it wasn't for the fact that there are lots of other people doing what we're doing, we might begin to take it personally! It rained all day and very heavily most of the time. However, it could not dull the Christmas spirit on the Woolwich marina dock, or more specifically, on Hokule'a - Jake and Jackie's beautiful boat where we spent Christmas day with friends, 11 of us in all. The company was great, the food outstanding and Christmas good cheer flowed throughout the day and evening.

Jackie's exquisitely decorated boat-sized Christmas tree.

Happy faces eagerly await lunch! (Liz is below, assembling the Pavlova - having prepared it all
earlier, but not wanting to risk finishing it off until after the dinghy ride to Hokule'a!).

The 3 bright shirts (us with Bill from Camomile) aimed at brightening up the day despite the lack
of sun!

Liz's Pavlova!

Jackie's cookies (Jackie from Inspiration Lady).

Bill carving the turkey he'd cooked.

All the food ready to be served - it was all delicious. It's amazing what you can do with only small
ovens.

Santa had better watch out. Kennedy (from Far Star) could be taking over
next year - he was perfect for the job of giving out the Secret Santa presents!
