The state of the coral varied from anchorage to anchorage.
Some had clearly been killed off by storms/cyclones, being covered in sand.
Others were still in fine condition, particularly just
beyond anchorage 16 - called the Coral Gardens, and it was just like a
garden with allsorts of colours. The following were taken around the anchorages.
We use a standard digital camera, but in an underwater housing. It's good for
close-ups, but you lose the colours and everything comes out blue if you get too
far away.
