Tobago Cays - Turtles

We saw lots of Green turtles here, of all sizes - from 1 ft to 4 ft across. They are named for the colour of their body fat, they are actually brown as in the pictures. Snorkeling in the protected area (protected from boats, not from snorkeling) we could hover close by a turtle and just watch it feed and surface. Frequently there were several within sight at the same time. They did not seem worried by our presence and just continued to feed, often coming closer and surfacing very close by. They were also outside the protected area. When in the cockpit of the boat we would see them surface on a regular basis. It's a real success story for the Tobago Cays Marine Park.
