Although cloudy, it was a dry night for a change - much better! Had good winds (15 to 20kts) all through the night and this morning, giving a noon to noon run of 181.3 miles - the best so far. The seas were quite lumpy and confused this morning with 2 wave trains coming together, but have eased this afternoon and it's been lovely sailing. We're still heading west and staying between 4 and 5 latitude to keep the current. Most of the other boats have gone further south - it will be interesting to see which route proves to be the best.

At 06.45 this morning we past the halfway mark! So now every mile we sail is a mile closer to land rather than one away from land, albeit that the land in question is a very small island!. At noon today we had 1,426 miles to go.

Liz started baking bread today and it's just come out the oven - it looks great, hope it tastes as good as it looks!
