It turned out to be a very squally night again; in fact the worst squalls we've seen. The clouds creep up behind you and obliterate the horizon, the wind initially drops down, then rapidly increases as the squall hits and down comes the rain. The worst one was at 22.00 last night and lasted for hour. It produced 28kts of wind and torrential rain fell the whole time. At least it washed the salt off the boat! The others were not so fierce, but had plenty of rain. They came every couple of hours or so and we can track them on radar. The last one was about 11.00 today and it's been clear so far since then.

Despite the squalls we had another good day with a noon to noon run of 170 miles.
