By the time we reached Kenta, Neptune was appeased and the anchorage was peaceful and no rain to speak of came with the squall or put a dampener on the evening’s entertainment

Anchored in Kentar, from L to R, Satori Two, La Pecadora and Kitty Hawk.

To continue celebrating arrival in the Northern Hemisphere, Windancer and Entice rafted up together and invited everyone in the anchorage on board for a sundowner in whatever fancy dress they could muster. Some clearly keep such things on board specially for such occasions, while others put together imaginative combinations of rubbish, flags, beachwear or, in Sky Blue Eyes’ case, Icelandic gear.

Some people take dressing up more seriously than others. First prize here had to go to Paul of Talulah Ruby for his Amy Winehouse gear

There were a few sore heads this morning, but all but a few late starters and Time Bandit made it the 35nm to Benan in time for lunch, managing to avoid all nets, fishing boats and FADs. Time Bandit is no doubt still making use of every knot of breeze to sail instead of motoring. Benan is a small island with a stilt village where we have an official program tomorrow, the Welcome to Wonderful Sail to Indonesia banners are up, the mosque has just started the call to prayer and the sun is shining.

Local boat and FAD. Can’t imagine how the driver can tolerate a hoody in this heat!
