Once again we have aborted our Panama destination as we met the rising southeast trades 125 miles north-east of the Vivarillios Cays. Motoring into 15 knot wind on the nose was never an option, but at least we tried! A couple more days and we'd have established a foothold in the Cays, but with another tropical wave due into the Caribbean around the middle of this coming week its time to be closer to good shelter and amenities.

Our destination for the summer is now the famed Rio Dulce (sweet river) in Guatemala the entrance of which is tucked way down into the south-western corner of the Yucatan peninsular just below Belize. With our current position just off the Bay Islands of Honduras we should arrive Livingston to clear in  sometime tomorrow or possibly Tuesday.
