We are in Marsh Harbour and provisioning and cleaning the boat pending arrival of guests - yes, they actually wants to spend a week or so with us on our floating home here in the sun. So we look forward to their arrival.

Marsh Harbour is well placed for meeting up with the cruising fraternity as well as seeking out some provisions and parts as most services are based here. We bought some propane via the local hardware store which offers the top-up service free of charge You pay for the gas of course! . We found the local supermarket to be interesting - like stepping back into the 1950's on entering, with dexian racking and rough concrete floors. Also interesting was that when despatched off to buy some more items yesterday the Skipper couldn't remember where the place was and probably walked an extra 2 miles in his search for Price Right but did find the Save a Lot warehouse which was even more retro!

When we arrived the anchorage was almost empty but any mention of bad weather brings boats flooding back in for protection as well as stocking up at the same time before heading off back into the Cays (keys) once more. After a couple of days of warm humid conditions the latest cold front swung past yesterday dropping the temperature back down into the 60's - but it will soon climb back towards the 80's before the next front hits at the weekend. That's pretty much the general run of the weather in the Abacos at this time of the year - but we are not complaining. Even the water temperature has risen to 16 degrees!
