An interesting overnight sail, we are making very good time, we have reduced sail as we do not want to arrive in the dark, when at 04.00 hrs we come into close contact with racing fleet, we turn around and head back along our track for an hour to allow them time to sail through and daylight is approaching and so as we approach Hermitage Bay the sun is rising and all is good with the crew on Quicksilver  Ray and Irene, CDrifters are here, John, Out of Africa, collecting fuel for his BBQ, everyone is waiting for the winds to ease and come out of the East for the journey to St Martin.  The forecast with strong Westerly blows we move onto Deep Bay which offers more shelter and sit out 5 days of strong winds and swell. Returning to Hermtage Bay where we can pick up free internet from the very upmarket resort of http://www.hermitagebay.com/ .   Malcolm and Sue, Piano arrive and we spend the next couple of weeks moving around Hermitage sitting out winds and swell.  Piano depart followed by the CDrifters, and we are on our own in Hermitage Bay enjoying the swimming, walking to Jolly Harbour to shop … with the occasional neighbouring yacht

As enjoyable as Hermitage is our first visitor arrives in Falmouth Harbour, so off we go to meet William Burgess.  William is originally from Scotland and has moved to and settled in La Gomera, Canary Islands, where he has an apartment and rents out his Jeanneau Sun Odyssey, Brego as Air B&B, www.canary-islands-sailing.com , he now teaches English with a very pronounced Scottish burr….  He is involved in the Gomera – Antigua rowing challenge and so is in Antigua for a week with a colleague photographer Eduardo, we cannot miss this opportunity to catch up and spend a very pleasant few days catching up, maybe next time he will be able to have Tanya with him.   Piano arrive to collect their visitor, Maria before heading off again for the BVI’s so time for a beach BBQ…

and then time has arrived for the visit of Gail and Midge from the Isle of Man
