Well I have decided to use this blog for future notes as I am able to update without a broadband connection which I can't do with blogger.com and now Chris has downloaded a program where I can reduce photo's to put on site I am raring to go!  So I will start this blog with a quick update as from the last posting in December.  This was in fact incorrect because I we arrived St Lucia 21st December not the 24th the date the blog was posted.  Just as a matter of interest we have a certificate which says we did the crossing but we have no official time as we were over the finish date, classed as "did not finish".

So from Rodney Bay, St Lucia to Admiralty Bay, then Friendship Bay and Petit Nevis, Bequia, back to Vieux Fort, then Rodney Bay, St Lucia.  I forgot to say we saw a moonbow in Rodney Bay over Pigeon Island, never seen one before. From there we move to Anse Mitan, Martinique, where we saw our first Caribbean turtles in the wild.

Now onto Dominica, on the passage between Martinique we saw a whale broach about a mile away, not sure what sort of whale but is a confirmed sighting as we both saw it.  Our first entry port is Roseau where I am made Master or Commander of Quicksilver, that will teach Chris to leave form filling to me!!  We met with Thomas & Regula for a trip to the Victoria Falls, which involved a jungle trek, crossing of the White River (five times) and a rock climb. Oh yes and a photo of Chris picking up a baby Boa constrictor!  Amazing when we got there, the river was in spate due to previous nights rain and the 300 ft falls were spectacular!  Our next anchorage will be in Portsmouth, Prince Rupert Bay and will let you know how we are getting on.

Hope all is well with you all. S & C xx
P.S Flying fish everywhere!!
