Anchorage 09:00 Go ashore in dinghy where we are met by
Richard and family. We all drive to nearby town in order to
visit ATM and go to supermarket. We later called into their
holiday home. Lovely place with an amazing garden full of exotic
plants and a huge collection of cactuses We then drove to visit
the ancient Greek city of Selinunte with its three temples and
Acropolis. The relicts of the homes to its 100,000 inhabitants
have largely gone. There were still some to see however and in
one we were able to view an old Greek ‘chair bathtub. After lunch back at Porto Palo we took Richard and
family out to Bootlegger
where we spent a
pleasant afternoon swimming and generally chilling out. J
prepared dinner for us. A salad and a risotto which we had in
the cockpit. We took our guests back ashore just as darkness and
Satin’s eyelids were falling. Another nice day.
