Marigot Harbour to Rodney Bay, St Lucia ( 8 nm )

Caribbean Weather: Fine and sunny. Wind: E 04 - 8kts

06:30 13:57.92N 61:01.58W  Marigot Harbour, Bequia.

Arose made a cup of tea and prepared boat for sea with others still asleep.

06.50: Slipped mooring and headed out into open sea. Others have by

now joined me. There being insufficient wind to sail the boat we motored

up to Rodney Bay. Heard Valsheda on the radio advising another vessel

she would be alongside in an hour – assumed this to be Castries, the capital

as she never appeared in Rodney Bay.

09:30  14:04.46N 60:57W Slipped into berth E07 in Rodney Bay Marina.

After clearing in with Customs and Immigration spent rest of morning

Cleaning topsides and brightwork of boat.

Lunched at the famous ‘Spinnakers’ on Rodney Bay beach before heading

back to the marina where we later dined in the ‘Bosun’s Chair’ bar and

restaurant.

Whilst the building infrastructure of the marina has not changed since IGY

Marina Group took over the marina two years ago there has been a vast

improvement made to the docking facilities and general running of the place.
