After an hour's delay from the booked 1300 launch time, Bootlegger
heads for the water. With a strong cross wind the lift in without a
hitch.

Motored across the harbour to CrewsInn Marina where again in strong
wind berthed, stern to, without a hitch on C40. Just down from us we
discovered the S/Y Saoirse (pronounced Sersha) and her owners Denise &
Gerry Griffin from Co Antrim. They are old acquantances of mine from
Pointe Pitre, Guadeloupe where again we were berthed close to each
other on the same dock.

Turned out that Denise knew Kevin's mother and they were off,
exchanging mutually known names over glasses of Merlot in Bootlegger's
saloon well into Friday evening. aboard Bootlegger. Kevin and I later
went and got something to eat before retiring. In my case that was in
the cockpit. Woke up early hours covered in mozzie bites.

All in all, a good day. Everything went as it was meant to.

Only malfunctioning bit of kit we discovered was the bilge pump. It is
not operating; no suck. Think it is the diaphram. The pump is French
and chances of getting spares for it down here nigh on impossible.
