covering some 1,650 miles of ocean from Crosshaven,
Ireland.
Bootlegger did us
proud; she's a great blue water boat.
In spite of having to battle it out in that
Bay of Biscay
gale which obviously slowed us, she averaged 6.87 knots
over the two hundred and forty hours passage time.
The run equated to three
fifths of the distance we shall
be covering in next month's transatlatic crossing
(ARC)
Winging home to the Isle of
Man next week where a
million and one
things to do, arrange, people to
see etc before returning to Las Palmas in a
couple
of weeks to prepare for the crossing .
