Day two: a complete contrast. The first rain arrived at 1400 and we reefed well down in advance of it. Since then it’s been grey and overcast with regular rain bringing increased wind. Reports from boats ahead of us that have gone well south to catch the trade winds are of unpleasant conditions with big seas and strong winds. We made the decision in the night to take a more direct route to Victoria and turned onto a westerly course. Some motoring, but also some good fast sailing, but uncomfortable in a big sea at times. We have been an overnight roost for a hoard of Boobies both nights. They perch on our solar panels and leave behind a dreadful mess. Days run to noon on the 30th: 103 miles.
A dodgy Starlink connection means we may not post regularly
