Last night the wind picked up on schedule at 2000, and like on the passage to Palmerston was stronger than forecast, continuing to build until midnight, when it started slowly easing down . We reefed the sails and had a reasonably comfortable time, although we spent the night in waterproofs because of the heavy downpours and the occasional rogue wave that came into the cockpit.

We arrived in Niue at 1000 local time (BST - 12) and picked up a mooring, but couldn't go ashore until 1500, as we had to wait for the customs officers to finish at the airport, so we paid a quick visit to the supermarket for some fresh veg, and will explore further tomorrow.
