Well we've been at sea a week now and have made better progress than we expected. We have sailed 1116 miles and have 1840 to go. We hope that there are no calms ahead but we do expect to get some lighter winds especially as we near the islands. Last night was quite squally as normal but with the Main double reefed and some of the Genoa rolled away we were able to sail at a good rate all night and in the right direction. Another sunny day today so we can expect squalls again tonight just to keep us awake and on our toes.
