We had a gentle, 30 mile sail to Contadora, in Las Perlas, on Friday.  Our guide book says that Contadora is used for meetings with foreign statesmen as it is close enough to Panama to provide security. Wealthy Panamanians have holiday homes here, witnessed by the large number of expensive motor yachts on moorings in the bay.

We passed the anchored fising fleet as we came between the islands

Anchored alongside ‘Bonnie’ and ‘Saga’

We’ve spent two peaceful nights at anchor here, enjoying the ability to swim in the sea, and the company of friends, but now it is time to move on to Ecuador while there is still some wind.  It is just under 600 miles, but due to forecast light winds we are not sure how long it will take us to get there
