We’ve been at sea five days and they are now all blurring together, the weather has settled to a S Westerly wind, cloudy with the occasional passing shower. As a shower passes the wind increases and then decreases again, it may back a few degrees and then veers again.
Yesterday, noon to midnight, we covered 80 miles, then Sarah insisted on reefing to slow us down. We still managed a respectable 150+ miles in 24 hrs. We are now 300 miles from our next waypoint where we turn for the final 120 to Savusavu, we can expect the wind to ease over the next few days as the low pressure behind us fills, alls well on board.
