Well we left the Helford River on Tuesday and motored most of the way down the Lizard before picking up a decent breeze to take us across the channel. Of course we were headed by the wind so weren't able to clear Ushant in one tack, I fact we rounded Ushant at about 14.00 Wednesday. Since then the winds have been generally light S to SW and we have been making slow progress toward A Corruna, tacking in and out of the Bay. We now have 200 miles to go in a direct line and hope to get there sometime on Sunday. Yesterday the sun came through and we started to warm up! Today is lovely after a clear starlit night. Frequent visits from Dolphins that swim alongside for a while and then carry on along there way, I think they are all Common Dolphin that we have seen down here which contrary to their name are not very common in UK waters.
