This is Mindelo.  Not much to look at but a vibrant, lively, cheerful and friendly town - Phil says that even the Touts and Beggars are cheerful and friendly!  There is lots of music here - on Saturday evening one of the main roads was closed and a band was playing in the middle of it, and there is live music in many of the bars of an evening.
