Fri 10 Dead calm depart 0830 to motor 12nm N to Yithion harbour. More boats in this time. Lay 45m chain. All tied up 1115 Trips to sm for stores on Brompton, hose down and fill up. Pick up hire car 1830 and go in search of gas depot. Find 5km out of town, spirits raised when see empties of what we want, but they no longer supply them full! Means have to get to Kalamata marina by 1100tomorrow (Sat) to ensure getting refills there, and can`t stop to visit ancient Mistra on way as hoped. Meal ashore, at last. Jane`s kalamari best ever had.

Sat 11 Varnish companionway steps just before setting off in hirecar. Arrive Kalamata 1045. Very little traffic, tho did see 8 dustbin lorries climbing up from Kalamata – must be a dump in one of the ravines. Lady in marina mm arranges for both gas cylinders to be refilled. Much relief – should last 5 or 6 weeks, and will be in busier boaty area then so confident of refills. Ferry Jan and Danuta from airport to Astra.Trips to AB sm. Explore beach to W in car. Stop for swim.Yacht bar ashore, then Astra for lovely eats. Stay onboard hotel Astra for night.
