26 August - Nice sailing breeze gradually building to NW f4

 

Lovely day sailing due E. Very rolly entrance to Ligia as quite a swell coming in from off shore. Pilot talks of many rocks – looks like entrance has been changed a bit as only saw rocks inshore of us Had keel 1/2 up just in case! Went bows to in large fairly newly improved sheltered harbour, just off jetty with large and pretty fishing boat already alongside. Looks like we got the last berth as a group of 3 Dutch yachts already in (but could have tied up off rock breakwater). Long walk along beach to find area safe to get in (no rocks and big swell coming ashore). Find minimarket up hill on way back to D`fly. Left v old swim shorts outside, and forgot to pickup. Wearing thin and no elastic so decided not to reclimb steep hill to collect! Purchased water bots, but no toms (to become an issue in Prevesa!).Good tasty free water (and elect if needed) on quay, so emptied all foul water from Gouvia, flushed thro with miltons and filled tank and evians
