Wed 1 June Hot and no wind as motor north up east coast of Mani stopping at uninspiring Kokala to anchor off beach at Kotronas 12nm ( M3)

Depart 1030, motor N in calm conditions. Find small area of sand to anchor just off beach at Kokola. Ashore all quiet and deserted. Find bakery, that`s all. Sea temp 24 so good for swim. Too many boulders on bottom to let out good length of chain so keep going N. Motor in and out of small inlet with vertical cliffs at Nimfi – bit more life, but no swinging room. Continue N with 1213m mountains to port, anchor 1500 in 12ftin sand off beach at Kotronas. More swimming – Jane still in rash vest!. Ashore two minimarkets (but no fruit or veg), mini chapel and good fish tavern with v friendly owner overlooking bay. Certainly worth returning, but would be very open to s wind.
