Grey sea. Forecast gives f6 around Hyeres, so decide get a few miles further W ready for better weather window for next hop around most S part of France (hereabouts) where Mistral or Easterlies compress. Full sails. Steer 220 degrees. Comfy 5.5knts to start, soon works up to over 7. Swell building. Tuck in in lee of St Tropez`s W breakwater for flat sea to drop main. Motor in. Pretty deserted and v quiet. So much room in here compared with visit last year. Go bows to pontoon into strong wind. Friendly marina staff then arrive, advise use two stern lines as more wind due.39.68euros, and disappointing showers. Still high season here, till November. Register complaint that grey skys and rain showers are not high season weather. No discount given. Explore ashore –Sunday so sms shut and unable to replenish beer stock. Note one “shop” advertises “Luxury Property and Private Jets” !! Many Porsches about – some sort of rally. Later watch part of drive thro – must be well over 200, one after the other.
