21 July Visit crystal clear water of Emerald Bay on small island of Andipaxoi, then head for Parga on mainland to recy drop off Ed and Rosemary

Leave early to have breakfast after swim in crystal clear water of Emerald Bay, on NE coast of Nisos Andipaxoi. Island is about 2.5m by 1m, and has perm pop’n of 50! Sea is a bit cooler here. Ed not feeling good. Perhaps too much booze ashore with Russkys last night? 1130 first tripper boat with grocks arrives – we decide to up anchor and head NE for mainland as need to get bus sorted for Ed and Rosemary. Surprisingly no ferry to Praga from Paxoi `s main port, Gaios. Motor all way till a breeze gets up for last hour.  Drop E & R on ferry quay for recy.  Head NW around venetian castle on headland to Ormos Valtou, bay with long umbrellad beach . Anchor in 20ft. It is Sunday, and mainland. Beach heaving, loud thump thump music booming out from beach bar, speedboats racing between anchored yachts towing rings and wings. No health and safety here! Not v peaceful. Sun goes, grocks go, peace arrives. Interesting castle or something lit up way inland on high peak. Just boil spuds tonight with cold meat and Ed’s chicken. Too many rings fired up yesterday – got unbearably hot n steamy below. Decide less rings in future. Keep it simple. Water taxi calls looking for business, but 0800 tomorrow is too early! J & skip early to bed as been long day.
