22 Aug – gentle motor S, go bows to in Gaios for Ang to get her ferry ticket for Sat, and head S – aiming for Mongonisi, on extreme S tip of Paxoi, but such a good sail press on to lovely bay on Andipaxoi, the small island a bit further S

Anchored just off Longos and dropped girls ashore. Lovely traditional village. Ang got her caffeine, Jane got some bread and toms. Went bows to in Gaios for just over an hour. Ang got Flying Dolphin ticket OK. . V hot so get thro loads of water, and having to use bottled water for tea now, so keep stocking up with a heavy 6 pack at most ports. Italian exited on 46ft yacht solo and had not anchored straight out, so our anchor was over his. we had tied to neighbouring myacht as Italian thought it may be a problem, but when he freed our kedge he didn’t bother to motor back up to where it should be, bur merely dropped it way downwind, across about 4 other anchors.  Other boats gave him grief, but too late as D`fly kedge now on sea bed. So difficult exit, but managed without fouling anyone . Motored down and out of S exit of Gaios. Planned to head a further 1/2 mile S to  for night. Holding not great as V fine sand and can see spade has dragged a couple of meters. Wind quite squally early evening but anchor has dug in . Just 5 yachts left in bay for the night. Quite rolly – but no music! Windscoop works well.
