8 June – set sail in the rain; wind on the nose so stop for diesel and the
night.
Depart Grau d¬Adge 1200
Arrive Cap d`Adge marina 1340, then move to a berth well inside the 2500
berth marina.
Grey and windy (Ef4/5), rained from 1200 till1500, ie while we were at sea
(and at 1730 when Jan and Jane ashore!)
Bent on main, other final prep for sea, quick look ashore. Gd`A like a
larger and upmarket Dawlish Warren. Cast off, Jane stays in her cabin, Jan
braves the rain for a while as motor sail dead up wind in short lumpy sea. Only
3 miles so don’t bother with any sails. Slow progress 2/3knts at best No point
in two of us getting soaked, so Jan ordered below. Arrive pontons d`accueil for
fuel.Capitainerie closed for lunch 1200 to 1400 – a June sat! V pleasant lady,
able to move right inshore, amongst the acres of tired looking apartments that
surround the purpose built megga marina. Good shelter as much whistlin in
rigging.. Forecast not looking great. Jane back – reminds her of Blackpool
golden mile. Lets go get some candy floss!
