13 September Morning shower, motor back to Sami and meet Mark and Helen on big Bavaria 49, evening thunderstorm

Nice sunny morning – cabin temp only fell to 24degrees. 0845 – RAIN. Look to W to see heavy rainclouds over mountains (tho sun shining to E). Had a few spots some days ago – previous rain was Cap D`Adge 9th June. Over 3 months ago! Showers quickly clear for cloudy day. Motor back to Sami. Walk across to meet Mark and Helen who have arrived and gone alongside on main quay awaiting tomorrows arrivals –Julie H (for D`fly) GGs and Keoughs (for big Bav).Get stores in. Can’t find particular spray container for heads. Jane heads for swim pool. Deep clean of heads. Wash down floors with fresh water and splash of vinegar. Skip heads for swim pool. Get charged 6 euros this time (2x3). Good value as hot showers too. Evening beers on big Bav Thunderstorm 1900– thunder, lightening and heavy rain, soon blows thro. Get back to D`fly to find ipod left out. Wet and dead. Disaster as no music for jambox – Jane has to listed to skip`s Decameron CDs!

 

14 September Julie and Lympstone gang arrive. Meal out at taverna.

 

Thunder has cleared the air. Now cooler air and v clear – can see for miles. F`cast of f5 on the nose for heading up Ithaca straight, so decide to stay here for night after guests arrive. Book table for 9 at 1930. Final hosedown and scrub decks to look smart for Julie. Taxis deliver all about 1230. Sun feels powerful today. Must be the clear air. Jane and skip for stroll E. Magnificent views with a bit of height.Nice evening meal. Temp cool after sundown.Girls have cardis.Steve’s bot white wine awful (taster tipped in flower pot). House rose excellent. Safer to stick with house.
