Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September Short hop E to Vasiliki to meet Rachel, drop off Julie. On to Fokki Bay and catch up with Bootlegger and Astra

Sat 6 Depart Sivota 0900 Stop in Ammousa Bay for swim/breakfast 1015 – 1215 Arrive Vasilik1 1300 6nm M1.5 S 0.5

Earlyish start. No wind so motor around to Ammousa Bay. Anchor in 35ft, well in, so deep here. Swims and breakfast It’s OK here but not sure would bother to come back. Sail a bit under genoa into Vasiliki Bay. Overtaken by cat on full revs to beat us in. Not huge amount of space left on quay. Decide push in stern to quay next to cat who has taken up three spaces. Chris Coomber already there so takes our lines. Rain shower cleans boat. Jules packs ready for coach transfer tomorrow with Ocean Elements to Preveza airport. Rach and Cat and Cat`s new chap arrive. Rach sorts out Jule`s and Kay`s stiff shoulders. All ashore for brilliant Mezze at Stelio`s. Great value. Torrential downpours thrown in for free . Tother Rach arrives with tame Penelope. Anyone want a pet rabbit? Not practical to get her back to UK when season ends. Heavy showers in night forces hatch lockdown.

Sunday 7 Depart Vasaliki 1200 Arrive Fokki Bay 1445 12nm M1.5 S1.25

Rach has hired car for day so gives Jules a lift to coach pickup. Just the two of us again. Hang out all washing done at Rach`s. Change bedding ready for next guests. Head off to Fokki Bay, just S of Fiskardho on Kefalonia to meet up with Bootlegger and Astra.Nice reach in from1330.Peep at bay to N of Fiskardho. Pretty, but not sure good to anchor there. Bootlegger already at Fokki. Anchor well in, but bit too close to Greek who has prime position, so reanchor a few meters further E. Get outboard running and duck over to Bootlegger, anchored well out, for a cuppa and nattter. Lovly chocolate straw bikis. Must get some. Frank and Jackie on good form, despite polluted foundations following heating oil leak back home on IofM. They plan heading to Aegean thro Corinth, possibly wintering in Turkey. Astra arrives following Joss pickup at Sami. BBQ on Astra. Loads of Sami meat expertly cooked by chef Joss. Not warm, so eat in wheelhouse. Fun evening.
