Third day motoring – transom getting a bit sooty. Getting low on fuel so popped into Le Palais to fill up and get some stores as we seem to be arriving after shops have shut, and leaving before they open. Must have been sunny at Le P as R lost her sunglasss – probably whilst ashore taking photos. Arrived at our favourite destination – the small drying out marina at Le Croisic, where we wee allocated the last available berth for the night. Due to early afternoon arrival skipper was “asked” (told) to get a few more items on  the “to do” list done – so built and erected the Rutland wind genny. (Fraid the photos are on Jane’s ipad.) Built, hoisted, connected, spinning – but no amps. Panicked thinking they were going somewhere they shouldn’t, so tied up the blades. As least we could chuck the box and packing. R did a recky to the station, booked her ticked. Welcome shower, dress in No 3s and ashore for a meal . Our favourite restaurant is now a takeaway, but found a stupendous 21.50 menu in a hotel, enjoyed with an expensive but excellent and smooth 2009 Muscadet. (Obviously not used to rich food as Jane and I suffered the next day. Don’t know about R as she was on the train – at least not bouncing around at sea dressed in full waterproofs which make frequent visits hard work!) It was raining on the walk home – first rain of the voyage, and warm rain too – must be a front going thro. End of the high pressure?
