Bali road trip

We headed to Bali's south coast from Lovina over the fertile mountains and down to the
tourist traps of the south coast. With its unique Hindu population Bali is strikingly different
from the rest of Indonesia, with a rich and varied history, lots of temples, roadside shrines
and colourfully dressed men and women. With a huge influx of tourists every year it is also
far more affluent than the islands we have visited so far.
In addition to some amazing craftwork, carving, porcelain, jewellery, furniture and much more
there is also a large fishing and farming industry and for the first time we could lots many of our favorite
fruit and vegetables.
Our return trip took us over another high mountain road via the traditional craft village of Ubud and the
rice terraces beyond.
At the top of the pass we stopped for lunch above the lake created by three volcano's
