Day 6
19:35.5N 25:37.4W Having lost considerable ground to the boats in our class
during the first 48 hours due to the damage to our light airs cruising chute,
we gambled on taking a more direct line towards St Lucia while most other boats
headed south for the more favourable winds. Unfortunately it looks like our
gamble will not pay off as the last 24 hours has seen us slowed by light winds
and we are forced to head south before once more turning to the west and our
destination. We down towards 18N and hopefully more consistent winds.
We are now headed SSW and will make the turn once we hit the stronger
easterlies. All aboard remain fit and well, eating and sleeping
properly and last night Glenn cooked up some superb Sushi and Sashimi followed
by vegetable rice with fresh tuna steaks. The boat is in good shape and there is still time to
read, listen to music and relax when off watch. It’s difficult to find good crew
nowadays!!!!!!!!!!! Pick of yesterdays music: Chris
