Manihi to Fakarava

We have come 100nm SSW to the large Atoll of Fakarava.
Exiting the pass at Manihi was As exciting as going in with a 4 knot
outgoing current running 30 minutes before slack water! Fortunately the
entrance into the Fakarava lagoon was much easier, wide and deep and we were
able to enter at first light having sailed close hauled against ESE winds
heavily reefed so as not to arrive before first light.
