Idyllic downwind sailing in 20kts and flat seas have brought us another 60nm north and now only a long day sail from the Cape York and the northern tip of Australia.
We hope to get there before dark tomorrow so that we can transit the reef strewn Torres straight in good light and begin our 3 day passage to Cape Wessels on the far side of the Gulf of Carpentaria.
We should get another good night in this large sheltered bay and leave before dawn tomorrow.
