The first three weeks of travelling in EbyJeeby (our travelling home) were quite hectic as we tried to fit in as much of the northern half of South Island as we could.

Sine Katie and Yann arrived on the 21st things have been even more hectic and there has been little time to catch breath as we tour the southern half of South island.

So I’ll try and add a few Blog updates over the next few days if possible.

Valentines Day

The sleepy township of Havelock stands at the western side of the Marlborough Sounds and is famous as the Green Lipped Mussel capital of NZ.

Mussels play a major role in the towns wellbeing and there is an internationally famous restaurant that specialises in.....you guessed it....Green Lipped mussels.

In Liue of a Valentines Day card I took Trish out to dinner knowing that she does like mussels but we settled on the seafood platter that included more than a

smattering of green lipped mussels, cooked in a wide variety of methods.
