The team is complete
With
the arrival of Glenn Ross on Monday evening, the team for ARC 2008 is now
complete. Glenn had travelled from a small town 200 miles inland from
Vancouver, Canada and his trip was made more complicated by the road along the
lake to the local airport being washed away and then the first of his 5 flights
being delayed by heavy snowfall in Calgary. It was a tribute to modern travel
that he still made all five connections and arrived on time. I
have also an apology to make to Chris DARLINGTON who for some unknown
reason I called Chris Davenport???? The
team are now busy preparing the boat for the start and after a day going
through the boat from stem to stern we will take her out sailing today to test
all sail configurations and run through Man Overboard drills, etc. The
preparations are being hampered by the many parties and subsequent late nights
that are a feature of the ARC and in particular the last week before the start. The
photo above shows Trish and Helen preparing the costumes for the
tonight’s Caribbean Carnival fancy dress party that should prove to be
great fun. The pictures should be outrageous!! __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 3626 (20081119) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com |
