After a 30 hour passage from Alofi, Niue, we are now moored in the large
protected bay at Neiafu the largest town in the Vava'u, the most northern of
the three main island groups that make up the kingdom of Tonga.
After lengthy clearance formalities we are now free to explore this
beautiful group of islands and with luck spend some time with the Whales.
After many weeks of very rolly anchorages it will feel like heaven within
the sheltered bays and anchorages around Vava'u.
With luck the internet access will be good enough to allow me to catch up
with a number of Blog updates that I have from the other islands visited
over the last 6 weeks.
