The first four days has given us some great sailing, covering 880nm, 220nm
per day at an average of over 9kts
It was too much to ask for these ideal conditions to be sustained and over
the last 12 hours we have seen the winds drop by about 4 knots, the current
lessen and go into the south and the wind direction move further into the
east.
We have shaken the reef out of the main and changed our direction slightly
to give us a better wind angle and so maintain boat speed.
All well on board, eating well, sleeping better. No ships, no fish just the
occasional bird. Flying fish and squid on deck each morning.
