Another rolly day and night of light easterlies sailing wing on wing.
By way of a change we have hoisted the cruising chute this morning and are
making reasonably comfortable progress in winds of around 6 to 8 knots. The
morning has been enlivened by a school of around 40 small dolphins coming to
play with the boat and staying for over 1 1/2 hours. They never cease to
amaze and amuse.
We have less than 125nm to run but as many of the charts for Indonesia have
not been updated for centuries we will maintain a pace that brings us to the
SW corner of Timor at first light tomorrow.
We have been out at the head of the fleet since leaving Darwin and have been
accompanied by some of the larger Catamarans and one or two of the larger
Monohulls, but because of the light airs the fleet has not strung out as
much as would have been expected.
So we should arrive off Kupang by early morning tomorrow and then begins our
Indonesian adventures.
