If you asked Trish what was the best elements of the trip so far she would say Fish and Flowers.

The acquisition of a decent underwater camera in Bonaire has given her many hours of enjoyment, both taking the pictures and sorting them out afterwards.

She has always been interested in plants and the wide range of exotic flora and fauna she has seen so far is another great delight.

While walking along a track on Fatu Hiva we came across this very pretty leaf and when we touched it to get a better photo it rapidly closed up. Why? we can only suppose that it is a defence mechanism against the creatures that would eat the delicate fronds.
