You may have been wondering where we have been for the last month.

Trish went back to the UK to see the kids and I have been off climbing in the Lofoten Islands.

Situated inside the Arctic Circle of Norway’s NW coast this is a truly magical place and a climbers and sailors paradise.

As well as some established routes we also explored some unclimbed areas with Paul and John climbing two new  long rock routes on huge slab faces.

John on top of Vagerkallen after a long climb. We had 24 hours of sunshine at the start of the trip and still 24 hours of daylight at the end of the 16 days.

As well as some serious rock climbing there was also some great alpine style ridge climbs and scrambles

The granite rock formations created huge slab faces and long crack lines creating some great climbing conditions. This is John again climbing a two pitch route on the southern sea cliffs.
