many sci-fi films have a weird range of creatures and characters, seemingly from the fertile imagination of animators and script writers.

But after spending many months snorkelling and diving across the Caribbean, Pacific, Coral Sea and now the Java Sea it is easy to see

where they get their inspiration from.

This Indian Lion fish is just one of a number of Lion Fish that come in a number of strange shapes, colours and fins.
