With my new crew, Chris and Terje having arrived and Curious put back into
the water after her annual bottom clean it was time to head west.
After 5 days of gale force winds even 20 knots from the south seemed calm so
we made the most of these southerlies and head WSW towards Nisos Kathira
where we hoped to hole up to allow the strong westerlies that prevail on the
south coast of the Peloponnese to die down. Unfortunately after 125 fast
miles our southerlies disappeared to be replaced by strong easterlies so we
headed in to Nisos Foligrando for shelter.
